Division of Infectious Diseases |

The Division of Infectious Diseases offers comprehensive services in the
diagnosis, treatment, and management of infectious disease problems
including hospital-acquired infections and disease caused by the human
immunodeficiency virus (HIV). Faculty also provides instruction
for medical students at the University of South Carolina and for
residents at affiliated hospitals. The Division serves as the lead
agency for the Midlands Care Consortium for the care of patients
infected with HIV, through a federally funded Ryan White Title II grant.
Research interests include hospital epidemiology and clinical aspects of
HIV disease. |
