Dr.
Owens' academic interests include neurocritical
care, mechanical ventilation, and sepsis.
In his spare time, Dr. Owens enjoys going to the
river, hiking, and visiting the beach and the
mountains with his wife and two sons. He
states that he also tries to spend a good bit of
time kayaking, both on flat and whitewater.
His reading interests outside of medicine
include economics, politics, and history.
He relates that he is a big fan of John Irving's
books. |

Projects: |

Dr. Owens' current research projects include ACCESS Trial
for Severe Sepsis and LIPOS Trial for Severe
Sepsis. He has participated in the Bard
Silver-coated Endotracheal Tube Trial. |
