Difficult to control asthmatic patients may be referred to
this clinic for further work up and treatment. Patients with
persistent chronic cough can be referred to this clinic too.

In this clinic the patients may get a fiberoptic
laryngoscopic examination to check for vocal cord
dysfunction or signs of gastroesophageal reflux exacerbating
their asthma and or cough symptoms. A multidisciplinary
approach is adapted with consultation with Dr. David Amrol
of the Allergy and Immunology Division if an allergic
component is suspected.
